Vision and Goal

The Seoul Financial Forum (SFF) was founded in October 2001 by a group of leading scholars, policymakers, and professionals drawn together by a strong interest and expertise in finance as well as a shared concern for the continued success of the Korean economy.

The mission of the SFF is to help Korea realize its vision of becoming a premier international financial center (IFC) in Northeast Asia by strengthening the competitiveness of its financial services industry. To this end, the Forum engages in three main activities:

1) Develops ideas and strategies for Korea to become an IFC in Northeast Asia.
2) Stimulates public interest in and support for Korea’s initiative to develop itself into an IFC.
3) Helps the Korean government implement policies and programs appropriate for this initiative.
